My paintings reflect my fascination with the colours and forms of the New Zealand landscape.
F rom the countless vistas living in my imperfect memory ...the twisted silhouette of a manuka tree, the views of endless bush clad hills sinking into deep aqua waters, the Boulder Bank in all its moods ..….
I love the soft clear light of dawn before the sun wakes up, and the changing of light from fine summer days to the blustery greys of winter. I adore the mellow richness of dusk as it settles in on summer evenings. I stand in awe of the fiery searing colours of our unbelievable sunsets, and the rich deep blues and purples revealed by the moon at dead of night.
With these luscious colours swirling thru my mind, I follow the pathways of my imagination to paint vibrant seascapes and landscapes to delight the senses and lift the spirits.
